What do I need to begin training?

The minimum age limit is 15 years old to enroll into the home study correspondence course. The student needs to be 15 year and 6 months old before they are eligible to begin the behind-the-wheel training and must obtain a State of Nevada driving permit. To obtain a driving permit the student will be required to pass the state written exam.

What kind of programs do you offer?

We offer a 30 hour Home Study correspondence course that meets the state of Nevada requirements for classroom instruction. We also offer behind-the-wheel lessons where our well trained and experienced instructors will teach basic driving maneuvers in different traffic situations and critical defensive driving skills.

What does the state of Nevada require?

Requirements for students who are under 18 years of age:

Students are required to hold his/her permit for a min. of 6 months. During that time a student will be required to complete 50 hours of behind-the-wheel training of which 10 needs to be at night. These hours need to be recorded on the DMV teen driving log.

Students are also required to complete 30 hours of classroom instruction.

Once students are 16 years old and have completed the behind-the-wheel training and 30 hours of classroom instruction they are then eligible to take the state on road test.

Requirements for those 18 years of age and older:

Students will need to pass the state written exam. Once the learner’s permit has been issued the student will be eligible to practice in the car with another person who is at least 21 years of age and has a valid driver license. The final step will be to pass the on road test at the DMV.
